This list will be updated LIVE starting at 6 PM PT/ 9 PM ET
Perhaps the most popular awards ceremony only following the Academy Awards, the official winners for the 2022 Golden Globes are finally here. After a year of much internal turmoil and alleged institutional change, the Globes find themselves without a network television slot for the first time in almost 15 years. Numerous ethical and financial lapses surrounding the ceremony were exposed last February, and now after months of internal reform – including hiring a Chief Diversity Officer and admitting new members – the Globes are supposedly ready to honor another fantastic year in film and television. Whether or not such touted institutional change is actually taking place should be ideally reflected in this year’s winners.
Despite the lack of a ceremony with celebrity guests in attendance and lessened impact on the overall awards race, it can’t be denied that the Golden Globes serve as a benchmark that kicks off a mainstream point of view after months of smaller critic awards. Today, we’ll keep you updated on the winners of each category as soon as they are announced. Given the current public image of the Globes, this wave of honored names and titles should be especially interesting. Read on to find out just how many snubs and surprises took place among the winners of the 2022 Golden Globes! You can also see the current nominees for the upcoming 2022 Critics Choice and HCA Film Awards right here on DiscussingFilm.
