We’ve finally got our wish. The second trailer for ‘AVENGERS:INFINITY WAR’ has been released and fans couldn’t be more excited. We got new looks at the Mad Titan, Thanos, heroes butting heads, and much more. In addition, we were introduced to the Black Order, Thanos’ team of villains. The team members include Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian and Corvus Glaive. The trailer contained a lot of new footage, and I’am here to break it all down.
SPOILER WARNING: If you didn’t see the trailer yet, there will be spoilers here. Also, I will include theories of my own so in case I’am correct, you were warned.
The trailer starts out with a rotating shot of New York, with a voice-over of Gamora speaking. Now to go deeper into this, the rotating shot can reflect on how a threat is coming and can turn the world upside down, similar to Ryan Coogler’s ‘BLACK PANTHER’. When Killmonger takes over as King, the camera rotates as he is walking to the throne, as Wakanda has now turn upside down.
Gamora is talking about Thanos, and how his ultimate goal is to wipe out half the universe, in order to save the whole universe. She states that he can do it with the “snap of his fingers”, once he has all the infinity stones. I think she is talking to Thor and the Guardians, as we can see she is on a ship, and we know that the Guardians pick up Thor after he lands on the “Milano”. Next, we get look a of Thanos in armor and then the “Marvel Studios” logo comes up.
Here we get a cool shot of Peter putting on his mask and getting out of the school bus. Going from the mask, this is his old suit he got at the end of ‘HOMECOMING’ so we will have to see when he will get the Iron-Spider suit. Now we can assume that his friends and classmates will find out he is Spider-man, so that will be interesting to see in the ‘HOMECOMING’ sequel. Then a voice-over of Tony Stark, “We have one advantage… he’s coming to us”, with this shot of him.
I predict that he is going up to save Peter. In the Super Bowl TV spot, we saw Peter holding on to that spinning thing that’s flying into space(in his old suit). So Tony is either going to go literally grab and pick him up, or give him the suit. Then the voice-over of Tony continues… “We have what Thanos wants, so that’s what we’ll use”. (Shots of Doctor Strange and Vision).
Next, we see this nice reunion with Captain America and Black Panther. The scene also includes Black Widow, Falcon, Bruce Banner, War Machine, Vision, and Scarlet Witch. Which leads to this shot of The Guardians landing and getting off the Milano. 
I think this is the planet Nowhere. We were first introduced to “Nowhere” in the first ‘GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY’. In the movie, the Guardians were on their way to give The Collector the Power Stone, before Ronin and his team ruined it. The Guardians, intelligently, gave the Power Stone to Nova Corps. Now there was leaked footage that came out awhile back of Thanos interrogating The Collector, who has the Reality Stone (Aether). Also in the footage, the Guardians were watching from afar as Thanos was torturing The Collector so I think the Guardians land on Nowhere to get the Reality Stone, just to see Thanos about to retrieve it.
And here are the heroes butting heads. Peter Quill (Star-Lord) and Tony Stark (Iron-Man). Tony comes up with a plan, only for it to be shut down by Quill. “Let’s talk about this plan of yours. I think it’s good, except it sucks. So let me do the plan, and that way it might be really good”. Tony’s face just says it all, as he only responds with “Wow”. So here is some of the little humor we’ve seen so far from any footage released. “Infinity War” is said to be the most serious Marvel movie, so we shouldn’t expect a lot of humor.

After this, we get to see the squad again from before in Wakanda. Cap, Black Widow, T’Challa, and now Bucky. They are driving away from the city to fight Thanos and his army of Outriders.
We get this awesome shot of War Machine, Falcon and the HulkBuster. It’s nearly confirmed that Bruce is the one operating the HulkBuster. He’s had problems controlling himself, and turning into the Hulk.
Then we see Thor, Groot and Rocket. This may be part of the process of Thor getting his new weapon, called Stormbreaker. Included in this scene is a voice-over, “The end is near”, then cuts to this.
Here is a look of Thanos in full armor. Now this may be a flashback of his early days, but it is still cool to see him in full armor.
It looks like this is Thanos and his army capturing Gamora’s home planet, and then he takes her with him. The 3 shots have the same background, and Thanos is wearing the same armor, so it does look to be a flashback. Also a voice-over of Thanos saying “When I’m done, half of humanity will still exist”.
Then we see Thor and Thanos. Now many people are saying Thanos is squeezing, crushing Thor’s head. But if you watch the trailer closely, it seems as if Thanos is turning Thor’s head, making him look at something. Whether it is to look at all the Asgardian people dead, or Loki getting killed. There’s been many theories about Loki getting killed for disobeying Thanos. Even in the image above, it looks like Thanos is using his fingertips and not his whole hand to turn Thor’s head. So Thor can be screaming in agony, not pain.
This is our first look of the Black Order together. In order left to right, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive and Cull Obsidian. In the burning background, all the dead bodies look to be the Asgardians. Also, if you look behind Proxima’s legs/feet, you can see a gold sword on the ground. It could be Heimdall’s and with all the talk by the Russo brother’s about character deaths, Heimdall might be one of the many to bite the dust. We also see Proxima pointing her spear at Loki. All 5 characters are looking up, to who I think is Thanos. I think Proxima is waiting for the order to kill Loki, while Thanos forces Thor to watch. Although Loki gives over the Tesseract, I think he does that to save his brothers life, but Thanos kills Loki anyways for betraying him.
Next we see Thanos crush the Tesseract to get the Space stone, then followed by scene of the team in Wakanda getting ready to fight. Bucky reloading his gun. Cap taking out his shield and Black Panther putting on his mask. We also get to see Star-Lord and Doctor Strange working together. While Star-Lord is running, Doctor Strange uses his magic to make platforms for Peter to jump on. 
Then we get to this painful scene. Ebony Maw is torturing Doctor Strange with these spike-type things. Now these spikes do look like the shards used by Kaecilius in the Doctor Strange movie. So it may be possible Maw is using Strange’s powers against him. Magic vs. Magic or Sorcerer vs. Sorcerer.
The scene is followed by a shots of the battle at Wakanda, with the Hulkbuster getting tackled and trampled on by a dozen Outriders. Then the trailer ends with this…
A huge face off between Captain America and the Mad Titan. Thanos throws a punch, only to be caught by Cap. Cap, obviously struggling to hold Thanos back, while Thanos has a weird look on his face. I think he is surprised or even scared and confused that Cap is able hold his own here. Also, Thanos still only has 2 Infinity Stones. The Russo brothers and the studio can be messing with us, and could have edited out some of the stones, but it is still something to think about, as the Wakanda battle looks to be the 3rd and final act of the movie
Guys, it’s a Marvel movie. Of course that’s not the last shot.
The last part of the trailer is a quick meeting between Spider-man and Doctor Strange. Peter introduces himself, “I’m Peter by the way”, while Strange answers back “Doctor Strange”. Poor Peter thinks their using “made up names”, so he introduces himself again and says “Oh, your’e using your made up names, well I’m Spider-man” and the trailer ends with a funny look on Doctor Strange’s face.
That is it folks, my full breakdown. You may comment as you wish or mention anything I missed. There is definitely more secrets, footage, etc that will be released before the movie is out. Luckily for us, we only have to wait just a little over a month. We’re so close. ‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’ will be release on April 27th, 2018, and it is going to be the blockbuster event of the year.
