Stephan James recently made a huge splash with his role in ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’, the film has went on to be nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Picture – Drama at the Golden Globes with Stephan’s co-Star Regina King winning the Best Supporting Actress Award. The film is also likely to recieve nominations in the upcoming Academy Awards.

Following ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’, the only feature that Stephan James currently has officially listed is an unknown role in ‘17 Bridges’, however we at DiscussingFilm have learned from multiple sources that he may be in early talks for another role.

Stephan James may be in early talks to join the cast of the upcoming ‘Clue’ film, based on the classic board game. He will star alongside Ryan Reynolds, who will also produce the film. Writing duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, known for their work on ‘Zombieland’ and the ‘Deadpool’ franchise, will also write the screenplay for the film with Allspark Pictures set to be the production company and 20th Century Fox set to distribute the film.

It is unclear what will happen with the film following the pending Disney/21st Century Fox acquisition but my personal assumption is that projects such as the ‘Clue’ film will continue into development under the new banner.

Stephan James’ representatives are yet to comment regarding this story.

20th Century Fox representatives declined to comment.
