Andy Serkis In Talks To Direct ‘The Cats Of Baxley’ For Point Grey Pictures (EXCLUSIVE)

Coming off the success of his directorial debut with ‘Mowgli’, the ‘Jungle Book’ adaption that previously resided at Warner Bros until it was sold to Netflix for distribution rights, Andy Serkis has his next directorial gig lined up.

He is in talks to direct ‘The Cats of Baxley’ for Point Grey Pictures, the film production company owned by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg which previously has been behind ‘The Interview’, ‘Sausage Party’, ‘The Disaster Artist’, ‘Long Shot’ and the upcoming ‘Good Boys’.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are set as executive producers on the film. It is currently unknown who the writer will be for the film however production is eyed for late 2019. Sources say that the film will focus on a wealthy mother leaving $50 million in her will for her cat, three siblings will wait for the cat to die so they can finally get the money they all feel entitled to.
