‘Safety’ In Development At Disney+ (EXCLUSIVE)

by Jacob Fisher

Per multiple sources, Disney+ has a new feature film in development at the studio. For those unaware, Disney+ is the upcoming streaming service hosted by Walt Disney Studios and will feature a wide range of content including television shows from iconic IPs such as Marvel Studios and Star Wars as well as multiple new IPs such as ‘Secret Society of Second Born Royals’.

We previously have exclusively reported the ‘Love, Simon’ TV Series that is in development for the streaming service, that series is currently casting its leads before beginning production in August. From the same source whom provided us information regarding the ‘Love, Simon’ series as well as the ‘Lady Sif’ series (which I hear is still in early development), a rather mature film is in development for the series.

The film is titled ‘Safety’, will be written by Randy McKinnon, produced by Mark Ciardi and production will begin in August. The film will focus on a scholarship football player who takes custody of his eleven year old brother when their mother checks into rehab. The film will be a biopic based on the true story of former Clemson football running back Ray Ray McElrathbey.

Disney are yet to respond to comment regarding this story.
