We have learned of a new series in development for Disney+ which will be written and executive produced by David E. Kelley (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Mr Mercedes’) and Dean Lorey (‘Harley Quinn’, ‘iZombie’). The series’ pilot episode will be directed by Bill D’Elia (‘How To Get Away With Murder’, ‘The Feud’).
The series is titled ‘The Big Awful’ that will focus on the basketball team at a private school for girls in La Jolla, California, the series will be a sports drama focusing on all of the drama that the girls go through, both on and off the basketball field.
Production will begin in September in Los Angeles and has already been ordered to full series at Disney+. ABC Studios will serve as the production company behind the series.
