We have learned that Matt Shakman is in talks to direct an upcoming 6-episode Marvel Studios series for Disney+. Although sources could not confirm which series he would be involved in, it’s most likely that given ‘Wandavision’ and ‘Loki’ are in pre-production, he will be directing either one of those two shows.

‘Loki’ is eyeing to begin filming in late January. The series will focus on the version of Loki that escaped during the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the story will show this version of Loki as he travels across time and becomes an unlikely influencer of historical events. Tom Hiddleston will reprise the role and Michael Waldron will act as showrunner.

‘Wandavision’ is eyeing to begin filming in the coming weeks. The series will focus on Scarlet Witch following the aftermath of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, sources say that the series will focus on her reality altering powers which may explain how Vision is featured in the series. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will reprise their respective MCU roles and Teyonah Parris will join the cast of the series as an aged-up version of Monica Rambeau, the character was previously seen as a young child in ‘Captain Marvel’.

Matt Shakman is known for directing episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘The Boys’, ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Billions’, ‘You’re The Worst’ and over 40 episodes of ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’.
