Rupert Sanders In Talks To Direct ‘Foundation’ For Apple TV+ (EXCLUSIVE)

We have learned that Rupert Sanders is currently in talks to direct an undisclosed amount of episodes in the straight-to-series adaption of ‘Foundation’ for Apple TV+

The adaption will be written and executive produced by David S. Goyer. Goyer’s previous credits include ‘Man of Steel’, ‘The Dark Knight’ ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, ‘Batman Begins’, the ‘Blade’ trilogy, ‘Constantine’, ‘Krypton’, ‘TMNT’, ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ and ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’. Josh Friedman, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Robyn Asimov and Marcy Ross will also executive produce the series with Josh Friedman also set to write the series alongside Goyer.

Rupert Sanders is previously known for directing ‘Ghost in the Shell’ and ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’. He is also set to direct the feature film adaption of ‘Rub & Tug’ which is based on the true story of Tex Gill, a trans man who becomes the crime kingpin of 1970s Pittsburgh through his empire of illicit massage parlors.

‘Foundation’ follows the story from the novels by Isaac Asimov which follows the complex saga of humans scattered on planets throughout the galaxy, all living under the rule of the Galactic Empire. Production will begin in early November in Prague, Czech Republic and Ireland.
