We have learned that Sony’s ‘Uncharted’ film is eyeing to begin filming in February 2020 in Berlin, Germany.

Sony Pictures has went through a number of directors during the preparation for ‘Uncharted’ including Joe Carnahan, Shawn Levy and Dan Trachtenberg, all who have left for different reasons. However, it seems that the film has finally landed a director who is here to stay with Travis Knight, who is known for his work directing ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ and the ‘Transformers’ spin-off film ‘Bumblebee’ which will seemingly have a sequel in the forseeable future.

Travis Knight boarded the project back in September following the departure of Dan Trachtenberg due to creative differences he had with Sony regarding the vision he had for the film. The film currently stars ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ star Tom Holland as the main character of Nathan Drake, a charismatic yet obsessive treasure hunter who journeys across the world to uncover various historical mysteries.

The film may also shoot in Colombia. With filming beginning in February, casting for the film will likely be revealed by the end of the year.
