We have learned that the upcoming Disney+ reboots for ‘Turner & Hooch’ and ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ have entered pre-production and are eyeing start dates.

The Disney+ ‘Turner & Hooch’ series will be written and executive produced by Matt Nix, the creator of ‘The Gifted’ and ‘Burn Notice’. He also recently was a consulting producer on Glenn Ficarra and John Requa’s ‘neXT’ pilot. The series is eyeing to begin filming on April 27 in Vancouver. 20th Century Television will produce the series.

The original ‘Turner & Hooch’ film starred Tom Hanks and was directed by Roger Spottiswoode. The film follows a detective who must adopt a rambunctious dog in order to help him find a killer.

Our friends at TheDisInsider previously reported that the Disney+ ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ film will be directed by Gail Lerner with Kenya Barris and Jenifer Rice-Genzuk set to write the screenplay. Lerner has previously written, directed and executive produced multiple episode of ABC’s ‘black-ish’. The series is eyeing to begin filming on July 13 in Los Angeles.

The original film was directed by Shawn Levy, who has directed Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming film ‘Free Guy’ for Disney/20th Century Studios. The original film focused follows a father of twelve who must handle a new job and his unstable brood whilst his wife is on a book tour.
