Captain Hook's pirate ship floats in the air next to a giant cliff with Peter Pan standing on top in the live-action Disney remake PETER PAN & WENDY coming to Disney+ in April 2023.

April 2023 is offering a little something for everyone on Disney+. Star Wars fans can enjoy The Mandalorian Season 3 coming to its epic conclusion on the streaming platform. This season has already given audiences episodes directed by Carl Weathers, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rachel Morrison (American Crime Story), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and Lee Isaac Chung (Minari). The final two episodes of Season 3 are confirmed to be helmed by executive producer Rick Famuyiwa, who’s already directed some of the best episodes of the entire series. Moving on, Marvel fans can continue to sink their teeth into the animated series Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur on Disney+ this month, which brings all kinds of zany fun for the entire family.

Those feeling nostalgic about classic Disney films will want to check out Peter Pan & Wendy, the latest live-action remake from Walt Disney Pictures. Live-action Disney remakes are a dime a dozen nowadays, but this reimagining comes from A Ghost Story and The Green Knight director David Lowery, who also gave fans 2016’s Pete’s Dragon. That film has been praised as one of the underrated live-action Disney remakes in the years since it released, so expectations for Peter Pan & Wendy are high. Lastly, Disney+ subscribers will be treated to an all-new original documentary series called Rennervations in April 2023. If the title didn’t already give you a hint, Rennervations follows beloved actor Jeremy Renner as he gives back to communities across the world in imaginative ways. This series comes shortly after the actor opened up about his recent near-death snowplow accident in an interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC.

To great surprise, Disney announced on Thursday, April 20 that five Spider-Man movies will be coming to Disney+ this month. Sam Raimi‘s original Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire and 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield are finally hitting the service on Friday, April 21. Furthermore, subscribers can expect to see Tom Holland’s MCU iteration of the character in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Venom starring Tom Hardy on Disney+ starting May 12th, 2023. Discover more on our monthly recs and check out the full list of everything coming to Disney+ in April 2023 below. Our Recs:

Jeremy Renner’s new Disney+ original documentary series Rennervations is unlike what subscribers are used to seeing on the streaming service. Audiences will get to see the famed actor travel across the world to give back to communities in a way he can do best. Using his years of experience in construction and passion for repurposing large vehicles, Rennervations sees the actor build unique purpose-built vehicles to meet the needs of those in need. Renner is joined by his best friend and business partner Rory Millikin and even invites other artists, philanthropists, and fellow Avengers like Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Hudgens, Anil Kapoor, and Sebastián Yatra to join in on the fun. Rennervations is a celebration of generosity and ingenuity that makes for time well spent on Disney+.

Rennervations premieres on Disney+ April 12, 2023!

Peter Pan & Wendy

Esteemed writer-director David Lowery creates a unique live-action reimagining of the 1953 animated Disney film Peter Pan. Just like in the original story, Peter Pan & Wendy follows young girl Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson) as she meets Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), an adventurous boy who refuses to grow up. Together with Wendy’s brothers John (Joshua Pickering) and Michael (Jacobi Jupe) and Peter’s fairy best friend Tinker Bell (Yara Shahidi), the group takes off for the magical world of Neverland. They soon come face to face with Peter’s archenemy, the evil pirate Captain Hook (Jude Law), and his loyal first mate Mr. Smee (Jim Gaffigan)… and we all know how the rest goes. Just how much will Peter Pan & Wendy deviate from the timeless tale and how will it stand out from the rest of Disney’s live-action remakes? Stream the film on Disney+ in April 2023 to find out.

Peter Pan & Wendy lands on Disney+ April 28, 2023!
