Super Bowl 2025 is bringing massive movie trailers to preview the year’s blockbuster slate. The 2024 Super Bowl was the most watched of all time, with 123.7 million viewers. However, it’s unlikely that Super Bowl LIX will match that mighty record, given that most Americans have expressed fatigue over another rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. The two NFL football teams previously met at Super Bowl LVII in 2023, wherein the Chiefs bested the Eagles 38 to 35. Moreover, this year could mark Kansas City’s third Super Bowl win in a row and fourth overall for this current team.
However, the Super Bowl always stands as the most-watched American television broadcast of the year. With the addition of modern rap icon Kendrick Lamar performing at the halftime show (with some surprise guests), it’s easy to imagine viewership for Super Bowl 2025 landing somewhere between 115-123 million. As such, Hollywood studios have to cough up a hefty price for live Super Bowl commercials, with a single 30-second TV spot now costing about $8 million. Apple and Warner Bros. have already shelled out money promoting Joseph Kosinski’s upcoming Formula 1 racing drama F1, starring Brad Pitt, at the Super Bowl.
Marvel Studios also already released its highly-anticipated trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps earlier this week, ahead of its planned Super Bowl spot for that film and Thunderbolts*. Likewise, Universal Pictures has already given audiences a first look at Gareth Edwards’ Jurassic World Rebirth ahead of its planned spot. Other new movie trailers that are still expected to come throughout Super Bowl 2025 are Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch remake, DreamWorks’ live-action How to Train Your Dragon remake, and Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning via Paramount Pictures. Finally, Warner Bros. released some fun promo for James Gunn’s Superman at the Puppy Bowl, but it’s unclear if fans are getting a real teaser trailer today.
Stay tuned as we update this list with every new highly-anticipated movie trailer released for Super Bowl 2025!
