A Quiet Place can be definitely seen as one of the biggest recent blockbuster franchises based on original IP, a rare commodity in a market that is becoming increasingly feared to original concepts. And the horror concept all stems from the mind of Scott Beck & Bryan Woods as well as John Krasinski (‘The Office’) who brought his concept to life in his feature directorial debut, where he starred alongside his wife & powerhouse actress Emily Blunt (‘Oppenheimer’)
This time, Krasinski has took a back seat into a producing role and allowing for expansion of the ‘A Quiet Place’ franchise to begin by bringing into the minds of different filmmakers to bring tales to this strange alien post-apocalyptic world. In this first case, ‘Pig’ director Michael Saronski introduces audiences to a whole new side of the invasion, with a whole new sense of thrill.
’A Quiet Place: Day One’ is set on Day 1 of the alien outbreak & follows a group of survivors adapting to this new hellish landscape in what may be one of the loudest & largest cities in the world — New York. Including an all-star cast with Lupita Nyong’o (‘The Wild Robot’), Joseph Quinn (‘Stranger Things’), Alex Wolff (‘Old’) as well as returning franchise veteran Djimon Hounsou (‘Gladiator’).
In this exclusive featurette, John Krasinski breaks down how he chose Michael Saronski to lead the ‘A Quiet Place’ franchise into a whole new direction whilst stars Joseph Quinn and Lupita Nyong’o break down how Saronski brings a new sense of thrill & horror to the franchise.
