We have learned that Luke Hull is set to serve as production designer on the upcoming Disney+ ‘Cassian Andor’ series.

Luke Hull recently served as production designer on ‘Chernobyl’ where he won an Emmy for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program. He also won the Art Directors Guild award for Excellence in Production Design on a Television Movie or Limited Series.

Hull also served as production designer on the pilot for S.J. Clarkson’s untitled ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off prequel which was cancelled after HBO decided to pick up a different spin-off focused on ‘House of the Dragon’.

Luke Hull served as both an art director and production designer on Amazon’s ‘Fortitude’ and served as an art director on Guy Ritchie’s ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’.

The ‘Cassian Andor’ series was intended to begin filming in June in the United Kingdom however, given the current coronavirus pandemic, it is highly unlikely that the series will be able to begin production in June. The series is currently closing in on their female lead for the series however, it is unknown if this process has been disrupted by the pandemic. Production will likely begin later this year instead.

Stephen Schiff and Jared Bush are set to write and produce and Tony Gilroy will write and direct certain episodes of the series, he previously directed and wrote the extensive reshoots for the highly acclaimed ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, the film earned just over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

Celine Robinson, Kathleen Kennedy, Michael Garcia, Sanne Wohlenberg and Scott Sullivan will also produce.

Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk will reprise their respective roles as Cassian Andor and K-2S0. Luna has just finished a press tour for the second season of ‘Narcos: Mexico’ with a third season already renewed, as for Alan Tudyk, he just starred as the voice of The Joker during the first season of DC Universe’s ‘Harley Quinn’ animated series.
