After a one week hiatus, Suits‘ seventh episode of the ninth season, ‘Scenic Route’, airs TONIGHT on USA Network at 9/8c. I, along with tons of other Suitors, had a few guesses on what would happen in this week’s episode. Watch to find out if we were right!
It’s time to make my weekly Suits episode predictions and round up a few fan theories. For next week, I have literal dust. There’s nothing to make guesses on except the press photos—there’s no synopsis or even an episode title. For once, Suits is leaving us in the dark on what’s coming up next. (We know Harvey is getting arrested. What’s left to hide?)
Based upon the provided photos, the most interesting reveal so far is the Louis’ (Rick Hoffman) story. It seems like Esther (Amy Acker) is back. There’s not much reason for her to return, aside from the fact that it’s a welcomed, unexpected cameo. Maybe there’s trouble brewing at her company?
Esther has only appeared in a few episodes, making an appearance to give Louis advice on his baby with Sheila and to have a case dealt with. She’s, more recently, shown up in a few Louis flashbacks, but it’s been awhile since we’ve seen her in the flesh— which is a bit worrying. Hopefully Louis and Esther can deal with their problems.
(Here’s a happy thought: maybe they’re discussing the Shouis wedding?)
Unfortunately, Louis and Esther aren’t the only one with problems. In the photo below, we see a serious Harvey (Gabriel Macht) looking at someone who seems to be Donna (Sarah Rafferty). There’s not enough for me or any other fan to make a good guess. So far, the only thing that’s clear is the fact that wherever these characters go in the next episode, there’s going to be trouble. Although we don’t know exactly what’s going to happen, whatever is going down in this scene is shady. You can just tell from Harvey’s face.
One Suitor, Kris, gives her two cents on the photo:
Since the seventh episode of the season isn’t out, this is a two-layered prediction. Let’s see how much of it pans out! I personally hope it’s nothing too scary. Donna deserves better. She already has a lot to deal with on her plate— being COO to a bunch of clowns is pretty difficult. Sadly, it seems like Kris may be right based upon the other photos in the gallery of Alex (Dulé Hill) and Donna. The two seem to be in serious talks in the photos. Why can’t our favorite redhead just get a break? Give Donna a vacation, Suits writers!
(Can we make that a trending hashtag on Twitter? #DonnaVacation2019)
At least in happier news, there are more photos of Darvey and that excites me. (And it should excite you too.) Although the images are fitting for the theme of this week’s promotional photos— stoic and tense, I’m taking every little crumb of Darvey I can get until the very last second.
Although I desperately want a happy episode where Mike and the new main cast just hang out, drink a couple of beers, and talk about the good old days, that doesn’t seem likely. This is Suits, after all. Nothing good lasts for more than one episode except Darvey, apparently. And even then, the couple can’t catch a break. (Especially Donna!) Let’s see how this all pans out.
Watch Suits live with me on Wednesdays at 9/8c on USA Network or catch up with the previous episodes on the Suits website.
UPDATE: The episode title and summary has been released.
An old foe forces Harvey to account for past actions. Esther has a problem only Louis can solve.
All I know is that this episode might require more than one glass.
