by Jacob Fisher

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier is one of the first MCU shows designed for the Disney Plus streaming service. However with the COVID-19 pandemic causing film/TV production to shutdown, it has left the series in unknown territory. It is said that the series only has 2-3 weeks left of production to shoot before the show is fully wrapped, although it seems unlikely that they will be able to shoot for quite a while.

Nevertheless, while production is shut down on all MCU-related projects, a new rumor has started to float around that a new star will be joining The Falcon & Winter Soldier series.

Per Lizzie Hill from Murphy’s Multiverse, she has stated that Solo: A Star Wars Story star Erin Kellyman could be joining the series. The report provides some in-depth research with substantial evidence found that Kellyman could very well be appearing in the highly anticipated show.

Following our story regarding Ronny Chieng’s addition to Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, we did some more digging into the realm of Marvel casting a while ago. We can confirm that Erin Kellyman has joined the cast of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in what seems to be a substantial role.

Erin Kellyman is known for her role as Enfys Nest in Solo A Star Wars Story. The actress also starred in BBC Two’s Don’t Forget the Driver and PBS’ Les Miserables. Kellyman will also star as Winfred in A24 and David Lowery’s The Green Knight, the film recently got delayed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is currently unclear when the film will release.

Exact details of Kellyman’s role are currently unclear, however, the team at Murphy’s Multiverse did some digging into some potential possibilities of her role. You can read about their research and theories regarding who Erin Kellyman could be playing here.

The 6-hour miniseries The Falcon And The Winter Soldier is directed by Kari Skogland, written by Malcolm Spellman and will star Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Carl Lumbly, Adepero Oduye and Daniel Bruhl among many more.

The series was intended to be released in August on Disney Plus however, with production still incomplete – that release date seems more and more unlikely.
