2020 is finally drawing to a close. With the year that it’s been, many of us are looking towards better things, and Netflix is here to help with their new releases in January. The year was rough and if you’re feeling beat down by it, then you might want to start off the year with some comedy. Eddie Murphy: Raw is the famous comedian’s classic stand-up special which is sure to make you laugh and kick-off 2021 with a good time. Alternatively, there’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Hook. Two films that, while are intended for kids, adults can enjoy just as much.

The beginning of a new year is arguably the best time to start expanding your film horizon and catch up on some classics that you may have not seen yet. Let us start with a classic. Bonnie & Clyde, arguably the most iconic couple in fiction. This is a must-see in your film viewing journey, even if you aren’t a huge film person it’s still a good time and worth the watch. Goodfellas and The Departed, two of Scorsese’s best films are also great entry points into his filmography. While both are gangster films, each has its own unique merits. Check out more of our recs for what’s new to Netflix below and also see what’s coming to Disney+ and HBO Max!
