New Arrivals for HBO Max March 2023

by Andrew J. Salazar
Jeremy Strong stars as Kendall Roy in the fourth and final season SUCCESSION coming to HBO Max in March 2023.

March 2023 is another exciting month for HBO Max, but this time perhaps a bit more bittersweet than others. This is mainly due to the premiere of Succession Season 4, which was recently confirmed to be the show’s last by creator Jesse Armstrong. The news was an unexpected gut punch to fans and it still doesn’t feel like HBO’s prestige comedy-drama is really coming to an end. Safe to say that everyone watching will savor these next unpredictable weeks spent with the twisted Roy family. With the addition of the long-awaited premiere of Perry Mason Season 2 and the highly anticipated season one finale of The Last of Us, HBO Max is sure to draw in significant numbers for March 2023. In the case of Perry Mason, it’s been almost 3 years since audiences were acquainted with the period crime drama led by the exceptional Matthew Rhys.

In terms of HBO Max’s revolving streaming library for March 2023, there’s plenty of ground to cover. Firstly, the first two Creed movies are back on HBO Max just in time for a rewatch as Creed III dominated theaters this month. The latest sequel in the Creed spin-off series marks the directorial debut of lead star Michael B. Jordan, and easily stands next to the very best of the Rocky Balboa franchise. Similarly, those in the mood for some more Sylvester Stallone action can check out The Expendables trilogy now streaming on HBO Max in March 2023 as well. Moving on, 2021’s Mortal Kombat and Those Who Wish Me Dead starring Angelina Jolie are both coming back to the platform in the incoming weeks. Scott Derrickson’s beloved horror film Sinister has already returned to the streaming service this month too.

Finally, subscribers looking to catch up on Oscar-nominated films from this year’s Academy Awards need to see the critically-acclaimed documentary All the Beauty and the Bloodshed. Discover more on our monthly recs below and then check out the full list of everything to and leaving HBO Max in March 2023. Perry Mason: Season 2

HBO’s period crime drama series is back with Perry Mason Season 2. Los Angeles’ famed defense lawyer Perry Mason takes on a new suspicious case that could take down the biggest political names in the city, but he’s yet to recover from the unfortunate mistrial declaration of his previous court case from season one. However, he’s willing to take the risk to put himself back in front of a jury as he’s caught a strong whiff of foul play resulting from the brewing racism of 1930s Los Angeles. Matthew Rhys returns in the titular role and is once again joined by Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, and Shea Whigham with the new addition of Katherine Waterston and many more.

Perry Mason Season 2 premieres on HBO Max March 6, 2023!

All the Beauty and the Bloodshed

All The Beauty And The Bloodshed | Official Trailer | HBO

Nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 95th Academy Awards, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed arrives on HBO Max soon after the Oscars take place on Sunday, March 12. Regardless if it wins the Oscar or not, the story of iconic photographer Nan Goldin deserves to be seen by all. Director Laura Poitras takes audiences through every nook and cranny of Goldin’s life as both an artist and activist through rare interviews and archival footage. More notably, the film chronicles Goldin’s fight against the pharmaceutical empire of the American Sackler family and how it’s invaded the modern art world. All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is the rare kind of documentary that not only encapsulates a subject’s entire life but all their struggles and pursuits for all to learn something new from.

All the Beauty and the Bloodshed hits HBO Max March 19, 2023!

Meanwhile, fan-favorite characters Greg (Nicholas Braun) and Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) continue to slither their way around the group in an effort to stay on whichever is the winning side. The final season of Succession with see the return of supporting characters played by Alexander Skarsgård, Arian Moayed, Dagmara Domińczyk, Juliana Canfield, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Hope Davis, Cherry Jones, Justin Kirk, and Stephen Root.
