Our Recs:
You: Season 4 Part 2
Following in the footsteps of shows like Stranger Things and Ozark, the second half of You Season 4 is releasing weeks after the first in hopes of extending its audience and streaming numbers. This season already put Penn Badgley’s Joe Goldberg in London under the new alias of a college professor named Jonathan Moore. After quickly associating himself with the city’s most fabulous and greedy socialites, Joe finds himself in the middle of a whodunit mystery. It remains to be seen how Joe will get to the bottom of this case in You Season 4 Part 2, but with plenty of surprises like Victoria Pedretti’s Love Quinn already confirmed to be making a reappearance, who knows where this genre-bending thriller series could go next. Tati Gabrielle’s Marienne is expected to play a stronger role as well.
You Season 4 Part 2 releases on Netflix March 9, 2023!
Shadow and Bone: Season 2
Netflix’s popular young adult fantasy series returns and promises more thrilling action and adventure than before. Shadow and Bone Season 2 is set to adapt the second book in author Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow & Bone trilogy from the Grishaverse titled Siege and Storm. But, of course, just like in the first season, the Netflix adaptation created by Eric Heisserer promises to expand upon the source material in its own original ways. Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li) and Mal Oretsev (Archie Renaux) must now rally their own powerful allies and begin a continent-spanning quest to find two mythical creatures in the fight against General Kirigan (Ben Barnes) and his new powerful army. Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, and Kit Young make up a gang called The Crows and are once again hot on the trail of Alina, otherwise known as the legendary Sun Summoner.
Shadow and Bone Season 2 premieres on Netflix March 16, 2023!
Murder Mystery 2
Set four years after the events of the first film, which broke records with its viewership, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are now back as loving couple Nick and Audrey Spitz in Murder Mystery 2. The married couple are now full-time detectives struggling to get their private eye agency off the ground. This all changes when the case of a lifetime falls right onto their laps.
The two are invited to attend the wedding of their friend the Maharaja (Adeel Akhtar) on his private island. When the groom is soon kidnapped and held for ransom, Nick and Audrey find themselves in a classic “everyone invited to the party is a suspect” whodunit case. Following the success of the first film and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Murder Mystery 2 is shaping up to be another Netflix success. Sandler and Aniston are joined by Mark Strong, Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith, Kuhoo Verma, John Kani, and Dany Boon.
Murder Mystery 2 hits Netflix March 31, 2023!
