Everything Leaving HBO & Max in March 2024

Over 80 titles are set to leave the Max streaming service in the remainder of March 2024. Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, which was nominated for 8 Oscars, already got taken off the streaming platform at the beginning of the month. The next award-winning film being removed from Max is Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin. The 9x Academy Award nominee is being removed on March 12, 2024, just two days after the 2024 Oscars. There’s not much else leaving Max until the very end of the month, with few exceptions like The Grey led by Liam Neeson expiring on March 15 and Amsterdam, starring Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, and John David Washington, expiring on March 19, 2024.

While Wonka, which comes from Paddington writer-director Paul King and star Timothée Chalamet, just got added to Max this month, the original Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (1971) led by Gene Wilder and Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) are both getting removed on March 31, 2024. Chalamet took huge inspiration from Wilder’s iconic performance as Willy Wonka, making it the perfect last-chance double feature for Max subscribers in March 2024. On top of that, some fan-favorite animated films like Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s The LEGO Movie and Henry Selick’s Coraline are also leaving the streamer at the end of the month. Those who want to keep the kids entertained or simply want to catch up on some animated gems have these two options to choose from before they leave.

Max subscribers who haven’t indulged themselves in the cult classic that is Jennifer’s Body will have the opportunity to do so before it expires on March 31, 2024. Starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer’s Body was panned by critics upon release but has gained a genuine reclamation from fans who praise its feminist undertones and themes of identity. Writer Diablo Cody, who was known for winning the Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Juno at the time, went on to pen the Charlize Theron-led movies Young Adult and Tully. She more recently wrote Lisa Frankenstein, the feature debut of Zelda Williams featuring the young talents of Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse. Horror aficionados who enjoyed Lisa Frankenstein will find lots to love in Jennifer’s Body and vice versa, as they both complement each other in some very surprising ways.

Other notable films leaving Max in March 2024 include the all-time classics A Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket, both of which come from master filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. David FIncher’s seminal mystery thriller Se7en is expiring soon as well. Comedy lovers will want to stream hilarious hits like both Horrible Bosses movies, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Wedding Crashers, and the ’80s favorites Teen Wolf and Teen Wolf Too. Check out the full list of titles leaving Max in March 2024 below. You can also find what’s getting removed from Netflix this month right here on DiscussingFilm.
