There are plenty of notable films and shows leaving Netflix in March 2024. The most famous titles about to be removed from the streaming service come from a long list of DC movies. More specifically, we’re talking about films in the now-dead DCEU franchise like Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Even though it’s not included as part of the DCEU, Matt Reeves’ The Batman is also currently listed as leaving soon, making it 12 total DC films set to expire from Netflix on March 31, 2024.
John Wick Chapters 1-3 are leaving Netflix on March 30, 2024, meaning that there’s no better time for subscribers to schedule one of the best action movie marathons ever this month. And for those interested in marathoning the entire franchise, John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently available through Starz. Another must-see movie leaving on March 30 is Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown. Based on Elmore Leonard‘s 1992 novel Rum Punch, this is the only feature film from Tarantino’s entire filmography that’s an adaptation of another work. Boasting an all-star cast ensemble of Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, and Robert De Niro, fans have argued that Jackie Brown is one of Tarantino’s finest films that deserves way more love.
Fans of Oscar-winning writer-director Gullermo del Toro will want to stream his films Hellboy and Pacific Rim before they expire from the streaming platform this month. Moving on, Netflix subscribers who enjoyed director Todd Haynes’ May December, which is nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 2024 Oscars, will need to stream his previous critically-acclaimed drama Carol as it’s set to leave on March 19, 2024. Starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, Carol tells a tale of forbidden romance set against a 1950s New York winter backdrop. Greta Gerwig’s Oscar-nominated, solo directorial debut Lady Bird, which was also produced by the beloved indie studio A24, already got removed from Netflix in March 2024, so subscribers should get those last-chances watches in before it’s too late.
Other major titles leaving Netflix in March 2024 include fan-favorite comedies like the Meet the Parents trilogy led by Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey, and 2014’s Neighbors which features the talents of Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne, and Dave Franco. Additionally, all six seasons of Community will be expiring from Netflix at the end of the month — a huge blow to fans excited for the Community movie which is expected to start filming later this year.
