The Peacock March 2025 list of new arrivals is packed with tons of movies and TV shows to stream during this year’s spring break. Following the February streaming premiere of Robert Eggers‘ 4x Oscar-nominated adaptation of Nosferatu, Peacock is finally welcoming Jon M. Chu’s Wicked to its rich steaming library on March 21, 2025! The hit adaptation of the iconic Broadway musical takes place before the well-known Wizard of Oz story, following the early sisterly relationship between the green-skinned Elphaba Thropp (Cynthia Erivo) and pompous Galinda Upland (Ariana Grande) while studying magic at Oz’s Shiz University — long before they are respectively known as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the North.
The streaming debut of Wicked comes after the 2025 Oscars, taking place on March 2. Universal’s hit adaptation is expected to be heavily featured on Oscars Sunday, and not only because of its impressive 10 nominations. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are also opening the ceremony with a grand musical performance, a cunning move on the Academy’s part. So, it doesn’t seem like Wicked fever is calming down anytime soon, which is good for Universal as the second half of this story, Wicked For Good, is set to release in theaters on November 21, 2025. The sing-along version of Wicked is getting added to the streamer on March 21 as well, making a Peacock subscription a must for fans.
Next up on the list is The Traitors Season 3, which is wrapping up this month. The Emmy-winning Peacock original reality series hosted by the great Alan Cumming is debuting both its third season finale and reunion episode on March 6, 2025. But more is arriving on the same day, as Peacock subscribers can immediately dive into all 12 episodes of The Traitors: UK Season 3 after finishing the American TV series. The Traitors collects a group of well-known reality show stars together in a castle in the Scottish Highlands for a deceptive game, similar to Clue and Mafia. Everyone’s trust and true allegiances are tested in what’s arguably the most popular competition program on streaming in recent years.
One notable movie making its way to the Peacock streaming service is the animated feature Hitpig!, which premiered in theaters last November. Based on the Pete & Pickles children’s book by famed author and cartoonist Berkeley Breathed, the film’s set-up isn’t one you hear of every day. A bounty hunting pig (Jason Sudeikis) is on a mission to take a dancing elephant named Pickles (Lilly Singh) to a circus in Las Vegas… until things go sideways. The cute art style and celebrity voice cast, including Rainn Wilson (The Office) and drag star RuPaul, is a strong enough magnet to get adults to throw this on for their kids. Hitpig! arrives on Peacock on March 7, 2025.
For something a little less family-friendly, the brand-new Peacock original series Long Bright River is riding on the coattails of similar miniseries like HBO’s Mare of Easttown and True Detective. Actress Amanda Seyfried has proven her formidable range with performances in films like First Reformed and Mank or shows like Hulu’s The Dropout. However, Long Bright River, based on the novel by Liz Moore, feels like an incredibly gritty undertaking. Seyfried stars as Mickey, a Philadelphia police officer investigating a series of murders during an opioid crisis. The catch is that these crimes might have more to do with her personal life than she imagined. All 8 episodes of this Peacock limited series land on March 13, 2025.
The last prominent Peacock exclusive coming to the streaming giant is Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 (produced by Paramount Network). The controversial final episodes of the Taylor Sheridan-created series have been a topic of discussion, not least due to the absence of Kevin Costner as the show’s original lead, John Dutton III. While the fifth season of Yellowstone was the lowest rated, actors Kelly Riley and Cole Hauser were still lauded for their final performances as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, respectively. Nevertheless, the show’s rabid fans who couldn’t finish the series before will still likely find plenty to enjoy, or at the very least debate, when it joins the Peacock streaming platform on March 16, 2025.
Moving away from Peacock originals, an extensive catalog of classic films is being added to the streamer at the beginning of March 2025. From the overly macho, such as Zack Snyder’s 300, to the more devastating, like Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain, there’s a little something for everyone. Or maybe you love shlocky horror films and want to have a 7-part Leprechaun marathon. Both of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies will be available on Peacock again as well. Finally, Colin Trevorrow‘s blockbuster smash, Jurassic World Dominion (along with the extended version), is coming back to Peacock, too — just in time before Gareth Edwards’ Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters this summer on July 2, 2025.
