New Arrivals for Paramount+ March 2025

The Paramount+ March 2025 list of new arrivals features a robust selection of critically acclaimed films and TV shows. The month is being headlined by the Paramount+ original series Happy Face. Based on Melissa Moore‘s true-crime podcast of the same name and her autobiographical novel Shattered Silence, the Paramount+ show finds a young woman (Tony Award-winner Annaleigh Ashford) forced to reconnect with her estranged father. The catch? Her father is the notorious real-life Happy Face serial killer, played by acting veteran Dennis Quaid, who’s been imprisoned for years.

Melissa must now race against the clock and finally face the demons of her past to find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for one of the crimes her father committed long ago. Happy Face seems to scratch a lot of the familiar itches that streaming shows are preoccupied with, namely family drama and true crime. Paramount+ subscribers can look forward to Dennis Quaid’s spine-chilling portrayal of the Happy Face killer when the series premieres its first two episodes on March 20, 2025. The remaining six episodes of the season will then debut every following Thursday.

The next Paramount+ series, MobLand, premieres on March 30, 2025. Famed English filmmaker Guy Ritchie, best known for hit movies like Snatch (2000) and Sherlock Holmes (2009), recently found success transitioning into television with The Gentlemen on Netflix. MobLand is right in Ritchie’s wheelhouse, centering on Conrad Harrigan (played by the great Pierce Brosnan), the head of an organized crime family fighting for more power within a global crime syndicate. The star-studded cast includes Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), acting legend Helen Mirren (1923), and the one and only Tom Hardy (Venom: The Last Dance), who plays the Harrigan family’s loyal fixer, Harry Da Souza. Guy Ritchie’s MobLand will surely be Paramount+’s next hit streaming series.

One recent release that’s getting a boost when it comes to Paramount+ early in the month is Strange Darling. The 35mm-shot film, written and directed by JT Mollner (Outlaws and Angels), stars Willa Fitzgerald (The Fall of the House of Usher) as a seemingly helpless woman being chased by a mysterious man with a hunting rifle, played by Kyle Gallner (Smile, Dinner in America). That’s all the movie wants you to know at first, before using a non-linear framing device to completely flip the story on its head. Praised for its audacious genre stylings, combining elements of horror and psychological thrillers, Strange Darling must not be missed when it hits the Paramount+ streaming platform on March 1, 2025.

Next up is Better Man, from writer-director Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), which doesn’t have an exact premiere date yet but is expected to arrive on Paramount+ in March 2025. The musical biopic of U.K. pop star Robbie Williams, wherein he’s portrayed as a CGI monkey man, is guaranteed to find a second life on the streamer. Considered a box office bomb, the film’s domestic gross paled in comparison to its groundswell of critical support. Many moviegoers have been singing the praises of this unconventional saga, with a particular clip of Robbie and his former Take That bandmates signing ‘Rock DJ’ going viral for its incredibly dynamic staging and camerawork. Better Man alone is well worth a Paramount+ subscription.

Of course, many familiar fan-favorites are getting added at the top of March 2025. The Paramount+ streaming library is receiving the two classic Wayne’s World comedies, starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. For a science fiction mind-melter, Alex Garland’s Annihilation, led by Natalie Portman, comes highly recommended, as does his sci-fi thriller Ex Machina. Or, if you’re a Quentin Tarantino fanatic, both Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds are coming to the streamer. On a similar note, David Lynch devotees still in mourning will have something of a balm because Mulholland Drive and Dune (1984) are arriving on March 1, 2025, as well. Other must-see classics include Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island and Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labryinth.
