Disneyland Paris’ World of Frozen Exclusive Preview — A Immersive Innovative Journey

Disneyland Paris is set to launch the start of one of its biggest expansions yet in Disney Adventure World, formerly known as Walt Disney Studios. Launching in March 2026, Adventure Bay will become a pathway to destinations never before imagined in Disney Parks history, including attractions from Up and Tangled, as well as a forthcoming Lion King land, currently in the early stages of construction. In an exclusive press conference, Disneyland CEO Natacha Rafalski called the new park’s opening “a truly historic moment for Disneyland Paris, that reaffirms DLP as Europe’s leading tourist destination,” adding that Disney Adventure World will now be known for lands and rides that immerse you into the experience — “you are the actor of your own story, your own unique adventure.”

Spearheading the launch of this renaming is World of Frozen, an immersive Frozen experience unlike anything seen before at other Disney parks. Bearing similarities to iconic Disney locations like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Avengers Campus, the intention for World of Frozen is to immerse the attendee in the heart of Arendelle, as if you were just a tourist passing through. Attendees will be thrown into Arendelle during the Snowflower Festival, an event celebrating the anniversary of Anna saving Elsa, as depicted in the final scenes of the first film. During this festival, Arendelle is transformed into a celebratory festival, filled with cast members in character as villagers, as well as the opportunity to meet Elsa and Anna themselves (virtual queue availability pending, of course).

Entering Arendelle

When attendees first enter Arendelle next year, they’ll be greeted by an immersive land filled with shopping and dining experiences, but upon immediate arrival, attendees will be captivated by Elsa’s castle in the mountains as well as the clock tower that leads into the Frozen Ever After ride, previously seen in other Disney parks internationally, including EPCOT in Florida. Every detail of the land is made with meticulous detail, including the mountain where Elsa’s castle resides, a hand-painted venture that took Imagineers around 18 months to construct.

Located within Arendelle is a handful of shopping outlets, in keeping with the immersive theming of this land. World of Frozen includes a large amount of merchandise exclusive to this specific Disney Park. This includes clothing and plushies designed to look intentionally handcrafted by the residents of Arendelle. Also included is clothing that is fashion-specific for Disney lovers who prefer no branding or character iconography. One more first-time addition to Disneyland Paris’ parks is a postbox and postcard system where attendees can purchase postcards to send back home or to family & friends, which will be delivered promptly worldwide.

Perhaps the most unique item was Disneyland’s first-ever interactive plushie, which interacts with the park and its surroundings.  Rúna, a troll seen in Frozen 2, can be purchased in World of Frozen. The unique plushie will interact with the customer as they enter different lands and exhibit various reactions to their surroundings. They will also have an overjoyous reaction when paired together with another Rúna.

Meeting The Icons & Watching Their Celebrations

It is already widely expected by attendees that they will be able to meet Elsa and Anna in World of Frozen. They will roam the island as well as reside in a corner of the park near their home. But what attendees may not know is that an all-new, innovative animatronic Olaf will join the pair at Meet & Greets at the park. Olaf has been specifically designed as an audio-animatronic for Meet & Greets that can even interact with what attendees say to him. Seeing the animatronic in person shows how he may be one of Disney’s most innovative inventions in years for their Parks division. Other characters attendees will be able to interact with in World of Frozen include Arendelle villagers, who will explain lore about the Snowflower Festival and tell tales of Arendelle’s past & present.

Next to World of Frozen will be an all-new nighttime celebration event that all attendees can enjoy. While Imagineers have not yet finalised the timing for the celebration, it is estimated to last 10-15 minutes and will feature 3 barges as part of Elsa, Anna, and Olaf’s celebration of the Snowflower Festival. For the celebration event, the original Frozen composers Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will return to compose an all-new song, which they will record in early 2026. This is one of two nighttime attractions in Disney Adventure World, as a fireworks & drone show will be happening in the middle of the land, hinged on a pivotal question — “What does it mean to be a hero?” Icons presented in that drone show include characters from Up, Moana, and The Avengers.

Disney Adventure Bay’s Extra Routes

Outside of World of Frozen, Disney Adventure Bay will eventually be home to the first-ever The Lion King land as well as an Up carousel ride. However, in Stage 1, there are still 2 major attractions outside of World of Frozen that will bring attendees to the front of Adventure Bay. Regal View will be a venue that offers both a restaurant and lounge option to guests, as well as being an immersive experience of its own — attendees will learn that Regal View is the same venue in which Disney princesses from around the globe come to relax and unwind. Incredible artwork of the Disney Princesses, both separate and together, covers the hallways and walls of the restaurant and lounge, depicting some of attendees’ favorite Disney Princesses, including Ariel, Snow White, and Tiana.

Nearby to the Regal View is a Tangled theme attraction named Rapunzel’s Tangled Spin. The ride is a simple Tangled-theme spin on the classic Tea Cups ride, painted with art inspired by Rapunzel’s castle and covered with lanterns inspired by the first film’s iconic scene. Some songs previously featured in Tangled will return for this ride, but will be slightly re-recorded to fit the ride’s theme and timing. Mandy Moore will also reprise her role as Rapunzel to perform a special voiceover that will be exclusive to Disney Adventure World.
