The Disney+ and Hulu December 2025 list of new arrivals is jam-packed with holiday cheer. Disney Bundle subscribers, who have access to both streamers and ESPN+, will hear plenty about Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. Based on the best-selling YA fantasy novel series of the same name by Rick Riordan, the second season will aptly adapt his second book, The Sea of Monsters. To save Camp Half-Blood and their close friend Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) from the wrath of Polyphemus (the same Cyclops that trapped Odysseus in Homer’s Odyssey), young demigods Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) and Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) must travel across the titular sea of monsters.
The second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will premiere its first two episodes on December 10, 2025. New faces this season include Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Percy’s loving cyclops half-brother. The Gray Sisters — a trio of ghastly, ancient women who share one eye and one tooth between them as they operate a taxi company for mythological beings in New York City — will be played by comedians Kristin Schaal (Tempest), Margaret Cho (Wasp), and Sandra Bernhard (Anger). Additionally, Courtney B. Vance, who audiences just saw as Cobra Bubbles in this year’s live-action Lilo & Stitch remake, will be taking over the role of Zeus, following the untimely passing of the great Lance Reddick.
Moving on, Taylor Swift is set to dominate the Disney+ streaming platform in December 2025 with the debut of her two latest projects: The End of an Era documentary series and The Final Show concert film. The former is a six-part docuseries that follows The Eras Tour from its early conception to its global success, featuring new behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the main pop icon and her collaborators, including Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, Florence Welch, and Ed Sheeran. Meanwhile, The Final Show is self-explanatory: a professional recording of the tour’s final concert in Vancouver, Canada, which includes The Tortured Poets Department act from her updated setlist. Both projects premiere on December 12.
Disney+ and Hulu subscribers, who also happen to be K-pop and K-drama fans, have been well-fed recently. December 2025 will continue to satisfy them with another season of Are You Sure?!, the travel series from BTS‘ own Jimin and Jung Kook. The two famous South Korean singers reunite for another spontaneous trip after completing their mandatory military service, traveling from the snowy mountains of Switzerland to Vietnam’s coastal cities. Are You Sure?! Season 2 kicks off on December 3 and will release episodes weekly throughout the month. Up next, Made in Korea, a new period drama that follows key events in Korea’s history in the 1970s, debuts on Hulu on December 24.
For those in the Christmas spirit, the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid animated film — The Last Straw, written by original author Jeff Kinney — will be making its Disney+ premiere on December 5. Hulu, on the other hand, will be adding plenty of holiday classics to its rotating streaming library on December 1. The original Home Alone movies, The Santa Clause trilogy, and Gremlins (1984) make for a perfect Christmas marathon.
