The HBO Max March 2026 list of new arrivals looks strong for subscribers going into the spring season. First up is the HBO original miniseries DTF St. Louis, starring Jason Bateman (Ozark), Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me), and David Harbour (Stranger Things). The dark comedy follows a love triangle between three seemingly normal adults experiencing midlife boredom, only for one of them to end up dead. Created by Steven Conrad, DTF St. Louis has all the makings of a sturdy streaming obsession, considering its seven-episode length, weekly release schedule, and stacked cast. DTF St. Louis premieres on the streamer on March 1.
For the next HBO Max premiere in March 2026, Rooster has huge potential. A new HBO original comedy series from Scrubs and Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses, Rooster centers on a famous author’s strained relationship with his daughter, who is at risk of losing her teaching position on a college campus. Led by the one and only Steve Carell and Charly Clive, with support from Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, and Danielle Deadwyler, the HBO comedy space is thriving right now. There’s plenty of room for Rooster to join recent beloved shows like The Chair Company and I Love LA. HBO Max subscribers can catch the first episode of Rooster when it debuts on March 8.
Here’s an odd one: The Comeback is, well, coming back for a third and final season on March 22. If you haven’t heard of this HBO series, it’s probably because the previous season was released over 10 years ago. The satirical mockumentary, created by Friends star Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King (2 Broke Girls, Sex and the City), follows Kudrow as sitcom actress Valerie Cherish in present-day Los Angeles. Originally cancelled after one season in 2005, the HBO show returned for a second season in 2014 and is now airing a final season in 2026. It should be interesting to see how much attention The Comeback Season 3 attracts on HBO Max, but its journey is undoubtedly engaging.
There are no HBO Max original films coming to the streamer in March 2026. However, there are a couple of other prominent movies worth mentioning. The first is Fackham Hall, a spoof on British historical dramas like Downton Abbey that goes all-in on the silliness. Featuring the likes of Damian Lewis (Billions), Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho), Katherine Waterston (The Agency), and Tom Felton (Harry Potter), a hilarious comedy like Fackham Hall is sure to find its stride on streaming when it comes to HBO Max on March 6. The second film of note is Ballerina, the underrated John Wick spin-off led by Ana de Armas, which is hitting HBO Max with a fiery bang on March 27.
Of course, there are many pieces of repertory content coming to HBO Max in March 2026. The first, for the horror fans, is the arrival of the first five Final Destination films at the top of the month. For those craving a little superhero action, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and Marc Webb’s two The Amazing Spider-Man films are getting added on March 1 as well, and will satisfy fans of Marvel’s webhead.
