Today at D23, the media behemoth showed dozens of titles slated for release during a panel for its new streaming service, Disney+. There were exciting previews—from the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series performance to The Mandalorian trailer. On our Twitter page, we live tweeted it all, but in case you missed it, here is everything you need to know about the panel.
Films to Watch on Disney+
The most exciting news of it all? The new Phineas and Ferb movie.
In all seriousness, there will be several films released on the Disney+ platform, in addition to exclusive streaming of blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame and the entire animated Disney and Pixar libraries.
Future Shows to Stream on Disney+
In the gallery below, check out various different titles debuting on Disney+ in the future. There was an expansive list displayed at D23’s Disney+ panel, some of these titles being the Monsters Inc. spin off Monsters at Work and Muppets Now. Upcoming Marvel Studios Show News
Perhaps one of the most exciting things about the Disney+ panel were the three new Marvel Studios shows slated for release: Ms. Marvel, She Hulk, and Moon Knight.
There was also more information presented about the previously announced shows, including casting confirmations, as well as general show descriptions, found below. All these shows are slated to be released in 2021 on Disney+.
WandaVision: we now know that starring alongside Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda) and Paul Bettany (Vision) will be Kathyrn Hahn as the “noisy neighbor,” Teyonah Paris as an older Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy, and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo. The show was described as a mix between a classic sitcom and epic, Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Emily VanCamp will return as Sharon Carter.
Loki: many different questions will be answered such as “where did he go after the Tesseract?”
What If…?: Nearly the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe cast will be lending their voices to the show, and the audience will be able to see various wacky scenarios such as Zombie Captain America with approximately 23 episodes for the show—one for each Marvel movie. Additionally, there were some previews shown of the upcoming animation series including Peggy Carter as Captain Britain.
Trailer Releases
Finally, there were six great trailers released at the Disney+ panel. Every show and film trailer shown will begin streaming on November 12th, the release date of the Disney+ streaming service. Below are all six trailers: The Mandalorian, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, Lady and the Tramp, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Encore!, and Noelle.
Disney+ will begin streaming in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands on November 12, 2019.
