Now that we’re approaching the middle of the summer, the Netflix June 2026 list of new arrivals is here to make sure that subscribers aren’t short on streaming options. First up is the Netflix original series Avatar: The Last Airbender, returning for its second season on June 25. Based on the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon of the same name, the live-action adaptation’s sophomore effort will see Aang (Gordon Cormier) learning the art of Earthbending. Along the way, he, Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) will befriend Toph (Miya Cech) in her live-action debut. The Netflix adaptation is confirmed to be ending with its third season, which was shot back-to-back with Season 2, and is expected to release sometime next year.
In the realm of Netflix original films, June 2026 brings two major romantic comedies to the streamer. The first Netflix rom-com is Office Romance, arriving on June 5. Icon Jennifer Lopez stars as a straight-laced airline CEO who begins to fall in love with a new lawyer at her company, played by the film’s co-screenwriter Brett Goldstein of Ted Lasso and Shrinking fame. The other Netflix movie is Voicemails for Isabelle, in which Jill (Zoey Deutch) leaves voicemails for her deceased sister as a coping mechanism. When the number is reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson), he begins to fall in love with her through listening to the voicemails. Voicemails for Isabelle streams on June 19.
For appreciators of handcrafted animation in an increasingly automated space, the stop-motion animated film I Am Frankelda must not be missed on June 12. A prequel to the Mexican television series Frankelda’s Book of Spooks, original creators Arturo and Roy Ambriz Rendón tell the story of Francisca Imelda, a writer in 19th-century Mexico who is swept up into an adventure when a prince asks for help in saving his kingdom. The Ambriz brothers have received terrific critical acclaim for leading I Am Frankelda across the finish line to become the first-ever stop-motion movie made entirely in Mexico. A historic achievement that can now be celebrated on a streaming giant like Netflix.
Last but not least among the prominent movies coming to Netflix in June 2026 is In the Hand of Dante. The ambitious film follows a priceless handwritten manuscript of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno from ancient Italy all the way into the hands of author Nick Tosches. Oscar Isaac plays both Tosches in the present day and Alighieri in 14th-century Italy. Many other members of the ensemble cast, which includes Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino, and Jason Momoa, also play dual roles. Although it’s received mixed reviews from its initial festival screenings last year, audiences will get to decide when In the Hand of Dante arrives on June 24.
In terms of repertory content coming to the Netflix streaming service, there is much to choose from in June 2026. The entire Rocky and Creed franchises will be getting added at the top of the month, making for one epic marathon. In a similar vein, the original Karate Kid trilogy and the 2010 reboot are coming as well. The recent legacy sequel Karate Kid: Legends (2025) is already on the platform, giving Netflix subscribers the option for another marathon. Moreover, the much-memed cult classic Bee Movie (2007) will be joining the roster, along with the similarly nostalgia-loaded Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2024). It’s perfect timing as Netflix is currently working on its live-action Scooby-Doo: Origins series.
Of course, highly praised gems like Song Song Blue (2025), Piece by Piece (2024), and Poor Things (2023) must be mentioned as notable additions to Netflix’s streaming library this June.
