The streaming services are heating up for the summer, at least if the Disney+ and Hulu June 2026 lists of new arrivals are anything to go by. The streaming premiere of James Cameron‘s $1.490 billion box-office hit Avatar: Fire and Ash on June 24 must be noted for Disney+ subscribers. The latest chapter in the epic Avatar saga follows the struggles of Na’vi leaders Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and their family against the fire-based Mangkwan clan led by Varang (Oona Chaplin), who teams up with returning villain Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) of the Earth-based RDA coalition. Hulu subscribers who don’t have the Disney Bundle yet, June 2026 might be the time to upgrade.
The return of FX’s The Bear, which is airing its fifth and final season, is also huge for Hulu in June 2026. The Emmy-winning series, which details the exploits of chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) as he tries to hold together a struggling Chicago restaurant while dealing with external and internal stress, has received high praise pretty much from the jump. Its direction, intensity, and performances by White and co-stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Ayo Edebiri have catapulted the show into the cultural zeitgeist. Therefore, it’s going to be bittersweet when The Bear takes its final bow on June 25.
Next up is the Hulu original series Not Suitable for Work, created by Mindy Kaling. The Friends-like sitcom centers on a group of young adults seeking success in the Big Apple, with their personal happiness as a bonus if they can squeeze it in. The Hulu show stars Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay, and Jay Ellis. With other hit comedies like Never Have I Ever and The Sex Lives of College Girls under her belt, Mindy Kaling has risen far in the ranks as a prolific voice in television. Thus, it’s reasonable to expect great things from her new Hulu series. Not Suitable for Work debuts early in the month on June 2.
Another hilarious Hulu comedy series coming in June 2026 is Alice and Steve. The titular characters, Alice (Nicola Walker) and Steve (Jermaine Clement), have been best friends for well over a decade. However, that relationship becomes strained whenever Steve starts dating Alice’s daughter. The premise is delightfully cringe-inducing and absurd, which will likely reel in plenty of viewers on its own when the show arrives on Hulu on June 8. Then, on June 29, Adventure Time: Side Quests comes to both Disney+ and Hulu.
A prequel to the beloved original animated series, Adventure Time: Side Quests follows young hero Finn (Sasha Knight) and his magical dog best friend Jake (John DiMaggio) as they embark on adventures across the fantastical land of Ooo — partying with cloud people and punching evil in the butt along the way. In terms of repertoire content, the highly underrated biopic Kneecap, about the incredible true story of the Irish hip-hop trio, begins streaming on June 2. Here’s a unique one: fans of The X-Files will get to enjoy a never-before-seen director’s cut of 2008’s The X-Files: I Want To Believe when it releases for the first time on Disney+ on June 11.
Last but not least, the acclaimed queer zombie comedy Queens of the Dead, written and directed by George A. Romero‘s daughter Tina Romero, hits Hulu on June 26.
