The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) is gearing up to celebrate its 31st Annual edition of the SAG Awards. The SAG Awards are focused only on acting, but because many SAG-AFTRA members form an important part of the Academy, winners here can further solidify the outcome of the Oscars race. The biggest awards of the night go to the main cast in a motion picture and the main ensembles in a comedy and drama series. The SAG Awards carry another unique quality in their two stunt categories dedicated to stunt ensembles in film and television.
The 2025 SAG Awards will surely be one to remember as Hollywood’s actors gather together to celebrate each other’s work, with the casts from films like Emilia Pérez and Wicked, and shows like Shōgun and The Penguin expected to dominate the nominations list. Tune in to the 2025 SAG Awards, hosted by actress Kristen Bell, live on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Netflix. This will be only the second time the SAG Awards are streamed live on Netflix following the streamer’s acquisition of the rights to the actor guild’s awards show.
