The Prime Video May 2026 list of new arrivals is alight with great options for subscribers. First up is the much-anticipated series finale of the Prime Video original series, The Boys. Amazon’s largest show to date, developed by Eric Kripke and based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, has received critical acclaim and sparked heated discussion among audiences for the past 7 years. With so much to wrap up, all eyes are on the superhero satire to bring it home or at least give the fans a few more memorable moments with iconic characters like Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) or Homelander (Antony Starr). The Boys takes a final, diabolical bow on May 20.
One of the most memorable characters in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was Nicolas Cage’s voice role as Spider-Man Noir. Now, Cage takes that character into live action for the first time ever in Spider-Noir. Neither a Spider-Verse spin-off nor a direct adaptation of the Spider-Man Noir comic character, Cage stars as Ben Reilly, a private investigator forced to pick up the mantle of his superhero alter ego, “The Spider.” Coming in both black-and-white and color, the Amazon series has drummed up tons of excitement from superhero fans and comic readers, offering a new flavor in a crowded landscape. All 8 episodes of Spider-Noir debut on May 27, two days before it premieres on MGM+’s linear broadcast channel.
A Prime Video original film worth noting in May 2026 is Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War. A continuation of the television series that kicked off Prime Video’s “Ryanverse,” based on Tom Clancy‘s novels, the movie sees John Krasinski returning as the titular CIA analyst-turned-field operative. This time, his adversaries are a rogue black ops squadron, which he’ll defeat with the help of returning actors Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, Betty Gabriel, and Sienna Miller. Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War boasts an exciting prospect, making it a must-watch for Prime Video subscribers when it arrives on May 20.
After two seasons, Good Omens is now wrapping up. Instead of a full season 3, the series is now set to end with an elongated 90-minute episode. While the first two seasons were popular and well-received, the disturbing allegations against series creator and novel author Neil Gaiman were enough to get the Amazon show canceled. Nevertheless, the friendship between angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) will get a proper send-off when the series comes to a close on May 13.
Next in the Prime Video streaming lineup for May 2026 is Citadel Season 2. Once touted as the most expensive TV series in all of streaming, Citadel follows a husband-and-wife spy duo (Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra) who have just regained their memories after they were wiped by their rival intelligence agency, Manticore. Produced by the Russo Brothers (who are making their return to the MCU later this year with Avengers: Doomsday), the Citadel franchise has significantly grown between seasons. Two different international spin-offs, Citadel: Diana and Citadel: Honey Bunny, have since premiered to fill the gap. The second season of the parent show streams on May 6.
Outside of originals, there are still plenty of classics joining the Prime Video streaming service this month. For families, George Miller’s sequel, Babe: Pig in the City, and Despicable Me 4 are great choices. Plus, those who want to get their ‘80s nostalgia going can now stream Wargames (1983) and The Return of the Living Dead (1985).
