Hulu is bringing the goods this holiday season. Not only will beloved originals be coming back for their sophomore seasons, but subscribers can look forward to new exclusive premieres as well. November 2021 will see Marvel’s Hit Monkey wreaking havoc on Hulu alongside everyone’s favorite cartoon siblings, the Animaniacs. Once you’ve had your fill of wacky animation, you’ll be able to enjoy new episodes of the hit period comedy, The Great. If there’s one thing Hulu isn’t lacking this November, it’s variety.

This month’s new arrivals also include excellent genre choices. From The Matrix trilogy to a few Christopher Nolan all-timers, the list just keeps getting better. One more recent gem that shouldn’t go unnoticed is Pig, the Nicolas Cage-led character study about a rugged, hermit chef searching for his stolen truffle hog. Though it may seem a bit silly or bizarre, we sincerely believe it’s “easily one of the best films of the year.”

Dive into our monthly recs below and see the full list of everything coming to and leaving from Hulu in November 2021. You can also find what’s new and expiring from Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+ right here on DiscussingFilm.

Our Recs:

Animaniacs: Season 2

Animaniacs | Season 2 Trailer

Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are back for more hijinks! The first season of the Animaniacs revival was almost everything longtime fans could have asked for. Original voice actors Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, and Tress MacNeille continue to show off the timeless nature of the Warner siblings, as they put their signature stamp on modern pop culture in the streaming age. The series has already been ordered for a third season, giving subscribers an even bigger reason to dive into these latest episodes.

Season 2 of Animaniacs debuts on Hulu November 5!

Hit Monkey

Marvel’s Hit-Monkey I Official Trailer

Following the success of M.O.D.O.K, Marvel’s latest Hulu series strikes an even more obscure chord. Having come across the likes of Deadpool and Spider-Man in the comics, Hit Monkey is somewhat of a cult character with untapped potential. Even Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn has teased the desire to see a Hit Monkey adaptation. Well, that rare chance has finally come in the form of an animated Hulu series. Starring Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Munn, and George Takei, this new show could be a huge surprise for subscribers, as it boasts a few Marvel deep-cuts with extreme violence.

Marvel’s Hit-Monkey hits Hulu November 17!

The Great: Season 2

The Great Season 2 I Official Trailer

The Great has definitely risen as one of Hulu’s more acclaimed originals. Period pieces with a twist have been on the rise lately, and this series clearly demonstrates why. Following the exploits of Catherine II as she is destined to become the longest-ruling Empress of Russia, The Great takes a very loose and more comedic approach to history. These creative liberties are further brought to life by fantastic performances from leads Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult. Season 2 sees Catherine on the throne for the first time, yet her road to full power is just getting started.

Season 2 of The Great premieres on Hulu November 19!

Pig

PIG - Official Trailer - In Theatres July 16

One of the surprise gems of the year, Pig proves that Nicolas Cage’s career is nowhere close to losing steam. A lone chef must traverse the underground cooking world of Portland to retrieve his stolen truffle hog. Along the way, he finds a new perspective on life and death. Pig is not exactly the John Wick-esque story that it appears to be on the surface, but if given a fair chance, it could be just what you need right now. “A wholly original, delightful, and stirring work of art, this is absolutely not a film to miss.”

Pig arrives on Hulu November 26!
