New Arrivals for Netflix November 2024

Netflix is the streaming service to beat in November 2024. All sorts of Netflix originals and familiar favorites are coming to the streamer, so let’s get right into it. First up, just in time for the upcoming awards season, Emilia Pérez will make its streaming debut on November 17, 2024, after a limited theatrical run. The Netflix original film follows a lawyer (Zoe Saldaña) who helps the titular cartel boss (Karla Sofía Gascón) fake her death so she can live her life fully as a trans woman. Co-starring Selena Gomez, Emilia Pérez has received rave reviews due to its unique story, which is part crime drama and part musical. It’s unlike any other Netflix original this year.

The next buzzy Netflix film looking for awards glory is The Piano Lesson. Based on the play by August Wilson, The Piano Lesson follows a Pittsburgh family (Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, Ray Fisher) who, in the aftermath of the Great Depression in 1936, try to make ends meet. Their relationship with a piano decorated with carvings from an enslaved ancestor pushes and pulls them together. The Piano Lesson promises a whole ensemble’s worth of incredible performances when it arrives on November 22, 2024, and it could very well be one of those dramas that get talked about until the Oscar nominations come around.

For a less high-brow Netflix movie, consider the Lindsay Lohan-starring Christmas rom-com Our Little Secret. The streaming film centers around two exes having to live under the same roof with relatives during the holidays and their mission to keep their romantic past a secret from everyone else. Part of Lindsay Lohan’s ongoing partnership with Netflix, Our Little Secret rings in the season on November 27, 2024, joining other new Netflix original holiday movies coming throughout the month like The Christmas Trap, Hot Frosty, and A Holiday Engagement.

Regarding Netflix shows, two heavy hitters return to the streaming service in November. Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 arrives on November 15, 2024. Netflix is making fans wait for the conclusion of this final season for as long as they can, with Season 6 Part 3 also coming in 2025. Expect more news of that soon, along with information about the upcoming installment in the Karate Kid franchise, the crossover film Karate Kid: Legends. Moving on, Outer Banks Season 4 Part 2 begins streaming earlier in the month on November 7, 2024. As the season explores the Pogues going up against a rival group of treasure hunters, it will likely continue to perform well for Netflix.

Far and away, the most anticipated Netflix original series returning to the streaming platform in November 2024 is the second and final season of the animated adaptation Arcane. The smash hit first season was set in the world of the popular video game League of Legends and told the tale of two sisters, Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell), caught up in the conflict between the utopian city of Piltover and its impoverished underbelly, Zaun. While it may be upsetting that Arcane Season 2 will be the show’s end, this indicates a definitive vision for where this story will take fans next. The animated Netflix series is ending in three acts, the first debuting on November 9, 2024.

Arriving in the second half of November 2024 is the Netflix show A Man on the Inside. Based on The Mole Agent documentary film by director Maite Alberdi, Netflix’s latest streaming series reunites actor Ted Danson with The Good Place creator Michael Schur. Of course, Schur is additionally known for co-creating Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Danson plays Charles in the comedy series, a retiree-turned-amateur private investigator who becomes a mole in a nursing home as part of an elaborate secret operation. Netflix subscribers will have plenty to laugh about when A Man on the Inside premieres on November 20, 2024.

A less high-profile but still rather exciting Netflix original coming up is The Madness. The Netflix miniseries marks the return of Rustin star Colman Domingo to the streamer. The Madness has a Hitchcockian hook, where its lead character, Muncie Daniels (Domingo), is a media pundit who is on the run after witnessing a murder in the Poconos woods. A classic “wrong man” thriller for the streaming era, it’s reasonable to expect that due to Colman Domingo’s complete commitment to whatever project he’s working on, The Madness be mandatory viewing once it hits Netflix in full on November 28, 2024.

For racing enthusiasts, the biographical miniseries Senna will take off on November 29, 2024. The Brazilian production tracks the life of Ayrton Senna (Gabriel Leone) from his beginnings as a humble racer to the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Speaking of sports, the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight airs live on Netflix on November 15, 2024. The professional boxing match between the controversial YouTuber/media personality and the also very controversial, former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has been anticipated for some time, or has at least inspired some heated discussions. Netflix knows this, and the fight looks to be a prime live event that fits with Netflix’s growing propensity toward doing more live shows.

While that’s all from the prominent new film and television show premieres, Netflix still has a bevy of classics coming to its streaming catalog in November 2024. The streaming giant is adding the first six Fast & Furious movies, which are guaranteed to be a great watch for the “family” around Thanksgiving. The underrated sci-fi action flick Oblivion, which saw actor Tom Cruise and director Joseph Kosinski team up before Top Gun: Maverick, is arriving at the beginning of November 2024 as well. The streaming platform will be welcoming critical awards darlings, such as Whiplash and The Whale, this month, too.
