New Arrivals for Peacock May 2025

The Peacock May 2025 list of new arrivals is the best of the year thus far for the streamer. Arriving early on May 2 is Black Bag, which will be exclusively streaming on the Peacock streaming service after its theatrical release two months ago. The spy drama/romance stars Michael Fassbender (The Killer) as George Woodhouse, an MI6 agent who must uncover a traitor within British intelligence. Things get personal when his elusive wife, Kathryn St. Jean (Cate Blanchett), gets put on the suspect list. Thanks to director Steven Soderbergh‘s sleek visuals and cunning revitalization of the adult espionage genre, Black Bag has become one of the most critically acclaimed movies of 2025 and is a must-watch on Peacock.

Next up is Poker Face Season 2, which is premiering its first three episodes on May 8, 2025. Shepherded by creator Rian Johnson (Knives Out, Star Wars: The Last Jedi), the Peacock Original series centers around casino cocktail waitress Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne) while she’s on the run after a mysterious death at her job. As she travels across the United States and escapes the grip of her former casino boss, she utilizes her uncanny ability to tell when people are lying to solve murders.

The case-of-the-week format of Poker Face has been compared to the classic crime series Columbo, giving the viewer the answer to the mystery upfront and then following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie Cale as she solves the case. The first season of the “Howcatchem” series was a major hit on Peacock, and these latest episodes are set to bring even more surprises. Peacock subscribers can look forward to an impressive list of guest stars in Poker Face Season 2, including Cynthia Erivo (Wicked), Geraldine Viswanathan (Thunderbolts*), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer), Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals), Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets), and beloved comedian John Mulaney.

Another recent theatrical release from Universal that is getting added to the Peacock streaming platform in May 2025 is Love Hurts. The action comedy stars Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Marvin Gable, a former hitman-turned-successful realtor who’s content with life. When a romantic figure from his past (played by West Side Story‘s Ariana DeBose) shows up, Marvin must face his criminal past. Love Hurts is the kind of fun, light-hearted action romp that 87North Productions has become known for, coming after Bullet Train, Violent Night, and more recently, The Fall Guy. Plus, it also features the surprisingly acting-savvy Marshawn Lynch in a supporting role. Love Hurts arrives on Peacock on May 9, 2025.

The third recent theatrical film coming to Peacock this month will have the kids gathering around television screens in glee. DreamWorks Animation’s Dog Man, based on the Dav Pilkey children’s graphic novel series, is set to hit the streamer on May 30, 2025. Dog Man is one of the most vibrant and energetic animated movies in recent years, making it a delight for audiences of all ages. Moving away from Peacock exclusives, the streaming giant has plenty of repertory classics to enjoy this month as well. Superhero thrills will be handled by The Amazing Spider-Man duology, while all the dads out there are likely looking forward to the first three Expendables movies now being available to stream.

The first two Now You See Me movies just got added to Peacock in May 2025 — perfect timing for fans looking to catch up before Now You See Me: Now You Don’t hits theaters later this year. On a similar note, all four movies in the John Wick franchise are arriving on May 15, 2025, just before Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, debuts in theaters on June 6. Other notable film recommendations in May 2025 include Jordan Peele’s Nope, Lisa Frankenstein, and the Finnish historical action thriller Sisu, which is getting a long-awaited sequel this year, too. Finally, Peacock will be the streaming home of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest this month.
