New Arrivals for HBO Max July 2026

The HBO Max July 2026 list of new arrivals is led by Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, which debuts on July 23. A spin-off of The Big Bang Theory, the Max original series follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman), who accidentally breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, stirring up armageddon across the multiverse. With the help of his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), geologist friend Bert (Brian Posehn), and annoying quantum physicist Barry (John Ross Bowie), Stuart must restore reality and (as the title suggests) save the universe. Along the way, fans get to meet alternate-universe versions of Big Bang Theory characters in all kinds of multiversal hijinks.

This first season of Stuart Fails To Save The Universe consists of 10 episodes, which will roll out weekly. While The Big Bang Theory spin-off is the only Max original in July 2026, there is also the HBO original documentary series The Man Will Burn to look forward to. The four-episode docuseries tells the fascinating history of the week-long counterculture festival known as Burning Man, which has been held in the Nevada desert for decades and attracts almost 80,000 self-styled “Burners” each year. HBO’s The Man Will Burn premieres on July 9. As for the rest of the month, HBO Max subscribers have plenty of films to queue up.

Two recent A24 movies are coming to the HBO Max streaming service in July 2026. The first is Marc by Sofia, which arrives on July 16. Visionary director Sofia Coppola, responsible for classics such as The Virgin Suicides (1999), Lost in Translation (2003), Marie Antoinette (2006), and more recently, Priscilla (2023), marks her nonfiction debut with a documentary about prolific designer Marc Jacobs. Next up, on July 31, the much-talked-about romantic black comedy The Drama finally makes its HBO Max streaming premiere. Starring Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, The Drama centers on a soon-to-be-married couple whose undying love is tested by a dark revelation.

If you missed any of the discourse or controversy around The Drama, July 2026 will be your chance to stream it on HBO Max. The same goes for The Long Walk (2025), the critically acclaimed adaptation of Stephen King‘s 1979 novel. It was the first novel King ever wrote, and director Francis Lawrence of Hunger Games fame does it great justice on film. Set in a dystopian version of the 1970s, the story follows fifty boys as they enter an annual, televised competitive walking contest meant to inspire America. They must walk nonstop for days and maintain a pace of three miles per hour, or die.

Actors Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza) and David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus) lead an outstanding ensemble, making The Long Walk a must-see when it comes to HBO Max on July 10. Other streaming recommendations for July 2026 include every Evil Dead movie, just in time for when the new standalone spin-off Evil Dead Burn hits theaters on July 10. Likewise, the first two Mummy movies are getting added back to HBO Max, giving fans enough time to prepare for Brendan Fraser’s long-awaited return in The Mummy 4 next year. Discover more about our monthly recommendations below, then check out the list of every film and TV show coming to the HBO Max streaming platform in July 2026.
