New Arrivals for Prime Video July 2026

The Prime Video July 2026 list of new arrivals has a little something for everyone. The Prime Video original series, Elle: From the World of Legally Blonde, or simply Elle, has already debuted to great popularity. The Legally Blonde prequel follows Elle Woods’ high school drama as her family moves to Seattle in the ’90s. Her bright pink personality stands out like a sore thumb in the birthplace of the grunge aesthetic. Little does she know that this clash will plant the seeds for her future as a lawyer. Newcomer Lexi Minetree leads the Amazon show in the titular role, and all 8 episodes of this first season are now streaming on Prime Video.

Project Hail Mary (2026) has also finally been added to the Prime Video streaming service. From directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller of Spider-Verse fame, this adaptation of Andy Weir‘s best-selling 2021 sci-fi novel made waves at the box office earlier this year. It currently stands as Amazon MGM Studios‘ highest-grossing film ever and the biggest non-franchise movie of 2026. Modern icon Ryan Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a lone scientist who forms an unexpected connection with an intelligent, rock-like alien lifeform, nicknamed “Rocky,” while on a suicide mission in deep space to stop a strange phenomenon that is killing the sun. Their unlikely bond, though, could be the key to saving the galaxy.

Next up for Prime Video in July 2026 is Ride or Die. The comedy series stars Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham as Debbie and Judith, two old best friends who know everything about each other. When Debbie discovers that Judith has been an elite international assassin for most of their friendship, the two are forced on a dangerous adventure across Europe. Here you have two hilarious stars and a far-out premise that promises all sorts of opportunities for comedic hijinks. Ride or Die could very well be a huge hit with Prime Video subscribers when it premieres on July 15.

For anime fans, there are two extremely exciting additions to Prime Video this month. The first is, of course, Science Saru’s The Ghost in the Shell series. This new adaptation of the legendary manga by Masamune Shirow will reinterpret “The Puppet Master” storyline when it debuts on July 7. The next anime of note is the second season of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman. A humble swordsman from the countryside revisits friends and foes from his past as he trains knights at the city’s capital and develops new techniques. The second season premieres on the streaming service on July 9.

The last Amazon series to mention is Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2, which premieres on July 31. Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass, Gen V) voices Batman in this adult, film noir-inspired animated take on the Dark Knight. The first season received widespread acclaim for its 2D animation, voice acting, and mature storytelling. Developed by Batman: The Animated Series creator Bruce Timm and producer J.J. Abrams, Caped Crusader Season 2 is set to introduce more villains from Batman’s rogues gallery in its unique 1940s Gotham City setting. This includes noir-era gangster versions of The Riddler and Poison Ivy, a gender-swapped Mad Hatter known as “Hattie,” and a new terrifying yet suave take on The Joker.

Finally, the Prime Video original film The Devil’s Mouth arrives on July 29. Starring Lana Condor (Coyote vs. Acme), Gavin Casalegno (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Kathryn Newton (Ready or Not 2: Here I Come), the horror-thriller centers on a group of friends whose sunny Thailand vacation is soon terrorized by bloodthirsty sharks. Discover more about our monthly recommendations below, then check out the list of every movie and TV show coming to the Prime Video streaming platform in July 2026.
