The Disney+ and Hulu March 2025 list of new arrivals is packed with all kinds of surprises, especially for Disney bundle subscribers with access to both streamers. Kicking off the proceedings is, of course, the 97th Academy Awards, which will be available to live stream on Hulu on Sunday, March 2. Hosted by the always-hilarious Conan O’Brien, the 2025 Oscars has become one of the most contentious award ceremonies in recent history, with many major categories still being too close to call. Controversial debates have arisen over nominated films such as Emilia Pérez, The Brutalist, and even Wicked. But Hulu subscribers will have to wait until Oscars Sunday to see who ultimately comes out on top.
Sean Baker’s Anora is expected to win many prizes at this year’s Academy Awards. The Neon-produced romantic drama combines high-stress comedy with gut-wrenching emotion, resulting in a showstopping performance from rising star Mikey Madison. Anora will finally make its Hulu streaming debut on March 17, 2025, meaning that people looking to catch up on recent Oscar winners should plan to have a Hulu subscription ready. Similarly, Walt Disney Animation’s $1 billion hit sequel Moana 2 will make its Disney+ streaming premiere on March 12. Originally meant to be a Disney+ series, Moana 2, which reunites Auliʻi Cravalho‘s titular wayfinder and Dwayne Johnson‘s shapeshifting demigod Maui, defied all expectations and is a must-see from 2024’s best animated movies.
Moving into original content, Disney+ subscribers are all but foaming at the mouth for Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio make their long-awaited return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin, respectively. From the beginning, this Disney+ revival series has been mired in equal doses of hype and skepticism. A long production, consisting of reshoots and retooling to mold it into something resembling the original Daredevil show, is something that many fans don’t know what to make of. Nonetheless, the Disney+ original series is expected to be a massive hit, immediately drawing in anyone who’s still deeply invested in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its street-level heroes.
Daredevil: Born Again has its two-episode Disney+ premiere on March 4, 2025, with new episodes following every Tuesday. And yes, Season 2 is already in production. It’s worth noting another Disney+ show, David Blaine: Do Not Attempt, which arrives on March 24. The National Geographic-produced docuseries follows the titular magician as he explores other cultures to gain a greater mastery of using his body in magic. Additionally, the Disney+ original film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip will prove to be a perfect watch for families when it lands on March 28. Stars Eva Longoria, Jesse Garcia, and Thom Nemer lead a multi-generational Latino family on a wacky road trip in this standalone sequel.
Meanwhile, Deli Boys is looking to be the next fan-favorite Hulu show. The new comedy series follows two Pakistani American brothers (Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh) who discover that their father’s deli, which they inherited after his unexpected death, is a front for a criminal enterprise. All 10 episodes of Deli Boys drop on March 6, 2025. Next up, the Hulu original documentary film Last Take: Rust and the Story of Halyna is long overdue. The doc follows the tragic incident where actor Alec Baldwin unknowingly fired a live bullet on the set of the Western Rust, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The Hulu movie will surely spark crucial conversations about on-set safety when it premieres on March 11.
The Hulu streaming service also has a few audacious genre films making their debut in March 2025. The first is Control Freak, led by Kelly Marie Tran (Raya and the Last Dragon, Star Wars: The Last Jedi), and it will be released on March 13, 2025. The horror movie centers on a motivational speaker who contracts a mysterious parasite that threatens to take over her whole life. Next is O’Dessa, starring Sadie Sink (Stranger Things, The Whale) and Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Mufasa: The Lion King, Chevalier). Landing on March 13, O’Dessa is an original rock opera that follows a young woman traveling across a post-apocalyptic landscape to get a family heirloom and the love of her life back.
To wrap things up, the Hulu original series Good American Family, starring Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass, kicks off on March 19, 2025. Based on the complicated real-life case of Natalia Grace Barnet, Pompeo and Duplass play two parents who come to suspect their adopted daughter, a Ukranian orphan with dwarfism, is actually an adult pretending to be a child. Safe to say that this Hulu miniseries could become the next streaming sensation. The last notable show to look out for is The Connors Season 7. The hit Roseanne spin-off returns with its final season on March 27. In terms of older film classics, the entire respective Alien and Predator franchises are now streaming on Hulu as well.
