The 2022 awards season now takes a more freewheeling turn with the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The most notable televised ceremony selected purely by fans, this extremely popular event features a vast range of blockbusters and hit programs, unconventional categories, unisex groups, and more. Even those who don’t keep up with the show every year must be familiar with staple categories such as “Best Kiss” or “Best Villain.” Sunday, June 5 will bring the next wave of MTV Award winners, but seeing as the results are determined solely by the fans, anything is always up in the air.

Films like Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, The Lost City, and Scream gathered multiple nominations and are favored frontrunners. On the TV side, Euphoria, Squid Game, and Ted lasso are leading the race. Favored stars and programs who unfortunately couldn’t get recognition in other ceremonies always find ways to get the spotlight here, making the fan voting more exciting and competitive. Needless to say, if your favorites didn’t win and you didn’t vote… you have no one else to blame this time. What do the winners of the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards look like? Check them out below and you can also find the final winners here for the 2022 Oscars, Golden GlobesCritics ChoiceBAFTAsSAG Awards, and our very own DiscussingFilm Critics Awards!.
